The current EMEA Finance team is active in the area of business development, strategic and operational planning, controlling, accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, treasury, tax. The team supports commercial operations in more than 20 countries as well as 5 production sites in Europe.

Job Summary:

Provide financial leadership in the areas of financial planning, reporting and analysis.  Candidate will work with EMEA finance and accounting, country finance, and senior management as well as various partners within other business functions as required.

Tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Complete timely and accurate periodic management reporting for senior management through the following activities:
  • Collect and validate financial data from EMEA entities
  • Assist in summarizing variances to comparative baselines and collect and summarize commentary from EMEA units on significant variances
  • Assist in consolidating financial or statistical data
  • Back-up for execution of financial consolidation process
  • Continuously monitor reporting requirements for relevance and create/update as necessary
  • Ensure the efficient and effective use of the primary financial data system tools
  • Facilitate the accurate and timely population of financial data
  • Coordinate enhancements in financial reporting system (system design, reports, testing, training)
  • Maintain standard reports in financial consolidation system
  • Validate data with HQ team and country finance
  • Utilize multiple information systems to create/modify effective reporting
  • Support EMEA and country finance in use of financial systems
  • Assist in consolidation of quarterly, annual and long-range business plans including summary and analysis of results for finance management
  • Prepare and maintain EMEA planning models/templates
  • Collect and validate submitted plan data from EMEA entities
  • Summarize plan results through consolidated analytics
  • Assist in preparation of plan review materials for senior management
  • Perform other ad hoc activities and support as requested, such as:
    • Assist in modeling and calculation of performance incentive plan results
    • Prepare data or materials in support of presentations by senior management
    • Assist in calculation and reporting of key working capital metrics

 Profile of suitable candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA and/or MBA is a plus
  • Strong skills in MS Office
  • Experience with  ERP and financial reporting systems; SAP, BPC or Hyperion are preferred
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
