Manager Internal Auditor
Leaseplan Corporate is looking for a Senior or Manager Internal Audit (depending on experience). The Auditor will be part of a team of 10 professionals, international travel is maximised to 40%.
The Group Audit department characterizes itself through an open and informal atmosphere with a focus on in-house knowledge. Both within the department and to its internal customers relation management plays an important role. Within Group Audit, the goal is to continuously maintain a high level of service quality and where possible to further optimize this service quality.
Because of increasing regulatory requirements and impact of developments in corporate governance the company decided to further invest in the internal audit team. The candidate is expected to become a leading individual in the team, by bringing relevant experience to a state of the art internal audit department.
The audit manager has an excellent knowledge of internal audit and has proven experience in getting the best out of a team. The candidate will be internally trained on all specific areas to be well prepared to manage audits in group companies and group service organisations. Next to this role the candidate will contribute actively to audits on all relevant governance aspects at the head office. To be effective in this arena, competences which are beyond technical audit competences are a prerequisite.
The candidate along with other audit colleagues will provide an innovative, qualitative manner and contribute to improving working methods. In that framework the candidate will be involved in several projects, in order to raise the audit quality and the impact of the group.
Given the international character of this position all auditors will spend up to 40% of their time abroad. The candidate has to be able to build contacts within the organisation at all kinds of levels such as group directors, local management team members, external auditors and other members of the audit team.
This position has a relatively high degree of independence within the team and is performed at a professionally high level of operating in a multinational environment. Organisational capacity, a critically building attitude, social and communicative skills are needed besides technical audit knowledge.
Training and experience profile of the “ideal candidate”:
Business management training on university level (or something similar like a business school), furthermore the suitable candidate has a completed audit qualification (RA, RO), combined with a financial and / or operational audit experience.
